Directed Initiatives For Youth, Inc., D BA Excite All Stars in New Orleans, LA is looking for 2 summer camp managers to join our team. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, punctual, and engaged.
Responsibilities
Supervise and monitor a staff of 20 - 100 (volunteers included)
Structure and coordinate pre-summer and ongoing training for all staff
Assist in pre-summer camp planning and organization
Communicate with parents, community partners, and other outside liaisons prior to and throughout the summer
Monitor the health and safety of all campers and staff
Manage overall program content and structure
Qualifications
Camp Directors must have extensive experience managing staff and working in youth-based programs. Camp Directors must be over the age of 21 and typically possess a degree within the field of Education, Child Psychology, Social Work, or an equivalent field. The Camp Director position requires participation in hiring staff, communicating with partnering organizations, and attending training sessions during the months of Feb - June, as well as facilitating five days of all-staff orientation and training before camp begins.

Job Title: Up2Us Coach/Program Coordinator
Position Overview:
Serve as an Up2Us Coach and Program Coordinator, using sports and education to empower youth and foster positive life outcomes. This role includes coaching, program coordination, and summer camp mentorship, offering diverse responsibilities and professional development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
During the School Year (Jan 30–May 26):
• Youth Sports Coach: Develop sport-specific skills and teamwork among youth.
• Program Leader: Plan and improve existing youth programs, ensuring structure and engagement.
• Health & Nutrition Leader: Educate youth and parents on healthy habits and lifestyle choices.
• Camp Coordinator: Facilitate engaging activities during out-of-school time, including weekends and holidays.
• Event Planner: Assist in organizing tournaments and special events.
• Volunteer Recruiter: Recruit, train, and empower community volunteers for program support.
• Service Learning Facilitator: Lead initiatives to promote community engagement and service.
• Referee: Oversee games, ensuring fair play and using mistakes as teachable moments.
Summer Coach/Mentor (May 27–July 5):
• Lead a group of approximately 10 campers as a team leader.
• Communicate and implement weekly/daily activity plans.
• Ensure timely and orderly movement of campers between activities.
Service Dates & Hours:
• Term: January 30–July 25
• Hours: ~10 hours/week during the school year; 35–40 hours/week during summer.
• Requirement: Complete 900 service hours by July 25.
Compensation:
• Stipend: $10,800 (paid bi-weekly).
• Educational Award: $3,697.50 upon completing 900 hours, usable for education-related expenses.

General Description:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the EAS Workforce Development Coordinator will oversee the day-to-day management of the youth workforce initiatives within the Division of the CYA Pre-Ets and employment services for Special Needs Youth./Young Adults for introducing youth ages 16-24 to career pathways and employment opportunities, while strengthening or establishing new workforce development programs for the youth. Additionally, the Coordinator will foster strong relationships with a multitude of stakeholders to include external and internal members, collaborate with other divisions and departments within EAS, and serve as a mentor/coach to students in the program.
The successful candidate will have experience in classroom/school setting, experience working with Neurodivergent students, and be dedicated to youth and workforce development.
This is a part-time opportunity with potential for full time employment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work closely with the ED to implement Program and Career and meet strategic youth workforce development initiatives at EAS sites.
Maintain a standard of excellence for all programs, ensuring high-quality implementation and monitoring all program milestones/outcomes
Oversee successful program enrollment, ensuring all documentation is current and accurate to funders’ regulations
Provide oversight on the collection and analysis of program evaluation data, as dictated by the funders
Maintain relationships with a network of schools, employer partners, community-based organizations, as well as, expand and manage external and internal partnerships
Plan and implement program enrollment & orientation for participants
Ensure all program documentation is accurately recorded in funder database in an accurate & timely manner.
Develop and manage program and data reports to provide routine updates to leadership.
Work with the Director Leadership to monitor program performance and progress via data collection and reporting including making changes for improvement when necessary.
Strong knowledge of digital learning systems and delivery of hybrid programming when needed.
Strong knowledge of data entry in contracted data systems (Hello Insight, Microsoft Teams) including participant enrollment and attendance and ensure that all program goals and outcome targets are achieved
Ensure all records including, participant files, and program certifications are up to date and in accordance with organizational and funding source requirements
Monitor trends, best practices, government actions and legislative pertaining to youth workforce development, career readiness, college attainment, apprenticeship programs, etc.
Collaborate with the Director of Leadership and senior leadership to strategize and write grants
Perform any and all task deemed necessary by the Director of Leadership
Qualifications
Master’s degree preferred
Strong demonstrated experience working with vulnerable youth learners (the economically disadvantaged and/or other high-needs populations) and the ability to actively and effectively engage on regular bases is required
Minimum of three-five (3-5) years of relevant supervisory experience
Strong confident leader and team-builder
Highly organized, excellent management skills, and strong writing and verbal skills required
Prior successful experience leading and overseeing DYCD programs and strong skillset in managing program operations; including development, implementation and evaluation.
Ability to translate the vision of an operating plan and effectively communicate the details and timeline of establishing benchmarks and goals for accountability.
Must be self-directed, results oriented, and have proven ability to prioritize and execute deliverables efficiently and timely with minimum supervision.
Ability to Multitask, prioritize and meet deadlines
Possess strong interpersonal, public speaking and relationship-building skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of stakeholders including program participants, staff, funders and program partners.

Development Responsibilities include:
The Fundraising & Development Intern will assist in the support of the execution of fundraising activities.
Additional responsibilities include:
• Assist in sponsorships and in-kind requests (both written and verbal)
• Coordinate closely with marketing team on social media, collateral, and web content to promote events
• Research content for and draft email blasts to donors, supporters and other interested parties
• Provide support for on-going development activities including prospect research, grant research and drafting, and program marketing
• Creating fundraising campaigns, including thinking creatively about campaign messages, as well as implementing the logistics of campaigns (mailings, social media posts, e-mails, phone calls)

* Assist with promoting fundraising opportunities on social media

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
This full-time, exempt, hybrid position plays a critical role in three areas: grant proposals and reports, development administration, and external communications. Specific duties and responsibilities will include the following:
Grant Proposals and Reports
• Research foundation requirements for grant applications and reports
• Collaborate on the development of grant proposals and reports
• Gather information on grant activities and outcomes from Programs Team and other staff
• Manage internal drafting and review deadlines for staff teams
• Submit grant proposals and reports in a timely manner
• Work closely with the Operations Team to ensure proper record keeping and compliance with all grant reporting and administrative requirements
• Communicate with funders as needed
Development Administration
• Track grant status, payments, reporting requirements, deadlines, etc., in Salesforce, Outlook and other project management systems and databases
• Maintain files in GCIR’s knowledge management systems, including Box
• Communicate with foundation staff regarding grants
• Ensure that GCIR complies with all grant reporting and administrative requirements
Administration of External Communications
• Disseminate external communications through electronic mailings (via Constant Contact), social media, and other channels
• Help maintain a fresh and timely website, working with the Operations and Programs Teams
• Assist in the production of the annual report
• Maintain and amplify GCIR’s social media presence

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
Required Skills and Experience
• A minimum of 4-6 years of experience in development and/or communications, preferably in the nonprofit sector
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Meticulous organizational skills, attention to detail, accuracy, thoroughness, efficiency, and timeliness in completing work
• Advanced proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and openness to working with a wide range of project management, content management system and communications tools (e.g., Monday.com, Google, Teams)
• High level of comfort with technology and ability to learn new software applications quickly
• Strong project management skills
• Ability to effectively resolve problems and exercise informed judgment that balances multiple needs, priorities, and interests
• Ability to take initiative and work independently
• Ability to work collaboratively with other internal departments or teams as well as external partners
• Proficiency with foundation grant application and reporting processes
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The salary range is $50,000 to $65,000, based on experience, as well as level of education and training. Excite All Stars offers a competitive salary and
