"I met two of my closest friends at Excite. I loved going to camp as a kid. But being apart of Excite as an employee has given me perspective that being a camper never did. I understand why Coach Gerald and Mrs. Penny do what they do. Because that smile when Aubrey Bennet hits the tennis ball over the net for the first time lights up a room. Or the feeling I get when the campers call me Coach Liyah is a feeling I’ve never felt before."
