Seasonal Sports clinics including basketball skills clinic, baseball skills clinic, and life skills; including anti-hate workshops, leadership, and team-building.
Our strategy is to attract 50 young boys and girls to participate in 3 basketball clinics throughout the year known as “Kazzies Kidz!” This group of youth will be the learn the fundamentals of basketball while being mentored by “Peer Leaders” and Coaches.
Excite All Stars/”Kazzie’s Kidz” is designed to teach young athletes the fundamentals of basketball. We are determined to help boys and girls reach their full potential mentally, physically and spiritually. Our goal is to teach young boys and girls how to improve themselves, their teammates and the game.
Our clinics are tailored to help each child at his or her particular skill level. After evaluation, we will divide the participants up by age and skill. Each child will receive individual attention and the same amount of playing time. Through personal instruction, team drills, court clinics, and competitive games, we aim to improve the skills of each young athlete and give him or her a greater appreciation for basketball.
Our focus is to improve game skills through teaching good form and technique and establishing good practice habits. The game skills covered include: shooting, dribbling, passing, offense, defense, foot work .
Our life skills training will focus on anti bias training- These teambuilding workshops will be facilitated by one of our very talented Peer Leaders, Victoria Barnes, a Senior at Cabrini High School. Victoria was selected to participate in special Leadership Training by the Anti-Defamation League in Washington, D.C. This workshop will focus on Unity through Understanding and No Place for Hate at Excite.
