All Star Spotlight on: Boeing

Excite All-Stars is leading the way in youth aviation education thanks to Boeing, the world’s largest aerospace company!

We are so proud to announce that this past March, our Anchored 2 Soar Aviation Program exposed 200 young people to the world of flight, drones and STEM learning experiences that were made possible by a generous grant from Boeing.

Every Saturday this past March at Joe Brown Park, kids received hands-on training and experience flying drones. They were taught the science behind how drones lift off the ground and how to fly safely, while capturing amazing aerial photography and video.

The programming also included hands-on sessions where students coded their own 8 Bit video game using Block Code, Java or Python, as well as access to robotics classes where they built robots and learned the basics of mechanical engineering.

We’re thrilled to say that even our local media took notice and came to check out what the program was all about!

We are proud to support Excite All-Stars in its efforts to provide aviation training and virtual STEM learning programs to students in our community,” said Tina Watts, community investor, Boeing Global Engagement. “Boeing is committed to ensuring students in underserved communities have equitable access to education and to 21st century STEM concepts that will prepare them for future success and opportunities.”

Thank you to Boeing for making this first-of-its-kind program in New Orleans possible!
